I am appalled that the Venice City Planners would even consider this housing development. How do they propose handling the excessive traffic congestion that will be caused by this. Is anyone on the Board even paying attention? Or is money the common factor here?

I am against this development as currently proposed. The increased density of homes is not consistent with the nearby communities. What is the point of having a master plan for the city when seems to be rarely adhered to?

I oppose the Murphy Oaks Development. There is way too much development in the area (Jacaranda, Border Road, West Villages to name a few). There is no additional infrastructure in place to accommodate all the cars and traffic. We need to preserve our quality of life.

Progress does not have to mean more. More homes means more traffic, more roads, more infrastructure, more costs to Venice. More costs often requires more taxes. So, if more causes additional negative burdens on all of the community, its not progress.

The density of the housing is inappropriate and not within the guidelines set by the Venice Council. During the "Season" traffic is already at saturation point, more homes and vehicles will just compound the problem.

The property should be designed with fewer homes in a manner that would preserve the open area and protect the setting and business of Fox Lea Farms, one of the premier equestrian venues on the East Coast of the United States.

The mayor and the city councilman work for us. They need to start to listen to the residents & stop unfettered development!

The addition of turn lanes at Auburn/Edmonson/Border. The developer proposing taking 12 feet from the Sawgrass side of the road; this puts traffic even closer to us!
