We, the undersigned request that the Goochland County Board of Supervisors DENY Application RZ-2022-00003 by Truett Real Estate Investments, LLC. We OPPOSE this proposed rezoning for of 49.372 acres from Agricultural, Limited (A-2) to Residential, Limited (R-1) on Fairground Road 1/4 mile west of Maidens Road for the purpose of building a development consisting of 40 single family homes.
The amount of traffic increase at the proposed development in this portion of Fairground Road would create a very dangerous situation.

We do not need this many houses emptying into Fairground rd . Probably at least 3 cars per household. GOOCHLAND is turning into Short Pump!

I vote no to these homes that will back up to our property. These lots will not be an acre, and aside from the congestion of traffic.I have a shooting range and allow hunters to hunt my land and don’t need the headache of wondering if children or teens are cutting through my property to get to HiddenRock park.

My husband and I recently moved here from Henrico County after living there for over 30 years. We know what overgrowth & overbuilding does to unprepared infrastructure and traffic. Henrico County has become the new Fairfax.
While I agree we have no control or no choice in who a landowner sells his land to, that is their right, my hope Is that the Planning Commission will make well-researched decision as well as listen to the surrounding neighbors this will effect.
I believe Goochland County has done a good job overall regarding growth, however, 40 new homes on one acre lots will greatly affect traffic, water, sewer, and the surrounding infrastructure. Please give my opinion and those of my fellow Goochlanders opposed to this serious consideration. Respectfully submitted.

We (Myself and my Wife Minnie) are both opposed to the development for these Reasons:
Please vote No on this development for 2 reasons.
1) I doubt 50 homes will fully comply with the minimum lot acreage rule for Goochland that we and other residents have had to comply with for our properties. If on they will be on sewer and water what is the impact to an already overcrowded system?
2) the Traffic on Fairgrounds road in that location is very busy and sometimes congested. An additional 50 house development will probably overburden that part of Fairgrounds and should demand widening, additional road improvements and or traffic lights.

I live on Fairgrounds Road and there is entirely too much traffic currently. This section of Goochland Co needs no more added traffic. Especially with the current subdivisions currently being built in this area.
