I live right across the street from the proposed DG location. This seems like a spectacularly bad idea. With the school across the Highway this is going to create chaos with safety for walking students and for traffic flow. We are not in favor.

I am against putting anything at the intersection of County Rd 31 and Highway 33 until something is done to deal with the traffic, such as as turning lanes, turn arrows and cross walks or crossing guards for the kids from Fairfield High School to cross safely. The traffic is terribly congested in the mornings and evenings getting kids to and from kids Fairfield HS. My vote is no to adding anything at that intersection.

Traffic already backs up before/after school at this intersection. An entrance/exit to a business such as DG would make this area even more congested and dangerous. I would also expect an increase in pedestrian traffic in the area and there are zero sidewalks/crosswalks there. Unsafe!

I think this is a bad idea form a safety point of view. The entrance at this intersection could be a very dangerous thing. I live close by and use this intersection and know that people do NOT drive slow even if there is a school there! We have several DG stores(3) within a reasonable drive(5-10 minutes) from our home, we don’t need another one.

Currently we keep our RV in an storage building, the unit got pieces stolen, there is always bad news with this type of businesses, and so close to our homes is not a well thought plan as the DG is unsafe idea for our children, please reconsider a safe proposition for this area

Overall upkeep of the property. Typically Dollar General keeps their properties messy. The yard is not mowed on a set schedule and there is boxes stacked in carts outside of the building. I can only speak for myself but I take pride in my property and I do not want to be dealing with trash that has blown out of their parking lot.
