the court denied bail today so he is staying behind bars until the trial. i cant even begin to say how much your support helped keep the pressure on when we needed it most. we will keep watching to make sure justice is served properly.

Final supporters
On Women's Day the 8th of Aug a man (since arrested) entered the house of a friend of mine in Riemvasmaak in Greyton. She was in the house with her children. Her oldest son, attempted to prevent the house invader from stealing or causing damage or attacking the family and in doing so, was himself attacked by the house invader, who used an axe to hit the eldest son in the face, a number of times. He is now in hospital receiving acute medical care. This man should, in my opinion, be denied bail. Previous petitions have been successful where local residents support the bail refusal process by signing and supporting the bail refusal application. Can you help me raise enough support to ensure this man is denied bail and is held in custody until his trial?

the support so far is heavy but seeing everyone rally around this family gives me hope that we can keep this person behind bars. im working with the legal side of things now to make sure these signatures are seen where they matter most.

im honestly blown away by how many of you stepped up to back this. it feels like we finally have real momentum to make sure this guy doesnt get back on the streets.

I live in this beautiful village, we need to stand together and protect our people from crime! Especially this criminal! Please NO BAIL!!!
No bail for axe attacker. Tried as soon as possible and on being convicted thrown in prison.
A violent crime like this should automatically make the person ineligible for bail. Please deny bail!
Crime is on the rise in Greyton, and I worry about my own safety. This will also be an example for other would be perpetrators. Safety first.
Definitely no bail! A savage and violent attack that warrants this individual to remain locked up to protect the community!

Absolutely horrendous crime. Clearly no regard for life, a danger to society and should be denied bail.
