If you feel our kids should be in school on a full time basis, not 2 days per week as we are now being mandated, please sign this petition. We would like to send this to the school board and administration and have our voices heard. Schools closed and virtual learning is not beneficial for our children. They should be in school, learning, interactive, and with other children. Parents should have options, full time school or virtual, but, up to families.

The stories shared by parents in the comments highlight the true impact of current school policies. We are preparing to present these challenges directly to the board.

Kids should go back to school. Those uncomfortable can stay home with the option of 100% live online education as an option. See what Lower Merion did - why can’t TE do that?

Several other school districts in the county are providing five days in person attendance and TE should provide the same in my opinion. This two day proposal puts a ton more pressure on working parents.

Based on experience in other parts of our society, our children, together with teachers and school staff, should be able to return to school safely. It is imperative for their mental health and education.

I respect that these are tough times that require difficult decisions but really want my high school kids in school as many days as possible. Two days of live instruction is not enough. They need to be prepared for college and life beyond.

The distancing guidelines for 6 feet are “to the maximum extent possible”. That means if it’s not possible, do 3 feet. 5 days of schooling is what we pay for, require, and deserve. Those who are uncomfortable may choose virtual. If we choose to expose our kids, we choose 5 days.

I believe TESD should fully reopen with the option of fully virtual for those parents who are not comfortable with in-person instruction. I also believe that the parents, the TAXPAYERS, should have a large voice in the reopening decision.

Our kids need to be back in school to get the proper instruction.

Open schools 5 days a week. I am going into high school this year and I am sick of hearing that it is not safe for schools to open full time.
