Open schools 5 days a week. I am going into high school this year and I am sick of hearing that it is not safe for schools to open full time.

Our children need to leave the house, be with other people/friends, and use their minds. The do NOT need to fight depression or suffer the ill effects of inactivity due to the torture of a ridiculous mandate over a mysterious virus that may or may not be comparable to flu.

If masks work - then let's get these kids back to school. If Home Depot, Wegman's and Lowe's can function throughout all of the pandemic - so can our schools. Let's make this about the kids - NOT TEACHERS SALARIES, hiding behind covid 19!!!

Remote learning doesn't work. Kids have more chance of getting hit with an asteroid than contracting/transmitting the virus. But TE kids will spend 2x/week split into cohorts muzzled like dogs learning social obedience and having their "social emotional well-being" measured by how well they adapt to being resilient connected digital communists. So why not have RAND and CASEL pick up the tab (Option 1) OR get rid of SEL and teach them Math, English and Science in school all week which is what my taxes are paying for? Seems like good options for such unprecedented times. https://www.frc.org/events/programming-our-children-the-social-engineering-agenda-of-social-emotional-learning

The risk of covid to children is minuscule. If a child is healthy let he/she return to school. The risk to healthy teachers is low. Healthy people need to return to the classroom! Many children rely on school for food, mentoring, mental health well being and socialization with their peers. Use common sense and safety precautions and teach our kids in a real classroom. Online was an abject failure.

Even the CDC says it is necessary to open schools fully. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/schools-childcare/reopening-schools.html

Kids need to be educated and productive. My heart breaks to hear that they not going back to school. Their young brain needs to learn, interact with other kids. OPEN THE SCHOOLS FOR kids who want to do in in person!

TESD should be open for business. Students and teachers can help in the daily cleaning Process just like I wipe down my office. If self cleaning is good enough for tax payers it should be good enough for the teachers and the students.

I would like my child to be able to attend school 5 days a week with the option of joining the classroom teaching from home if needed due to illness. Is that a difficult thing to achieve? I personally do not know. Until the vaccine is available, the school would provide video conferencing of every classroom in session. It accommodates those that attend and those that are remaining home. Wouldn't this change to the schools be optimal as we move forward even after the vaccine is available? Availability of the vaccine doesn't mean we all go back to life as we knew it before COVID. It will take time to vaccinate everyone and time to control the virus from moving. This would allow kids to log into the classroom setting to attend while under quarantine (if ill but not experiencing symptoms). The value of this capability could help tremendously allowing kids to return to school and those that need or wish to remain home.
