We believe that for the well-being and health of our children and communities that playgrounds should be opened this summer- according to the CDC, coronavirus is NOT easily transmissible on surfaces, and children are not a high risk category for becoming infected with coronavirus. In addition it is incredibly important for children to be outside in the fresh air and sunshine as it strengthens the immune system. Social distancing at playgrounds would still be strongly encouraged and enforced by parents and caregivers.
