We the parents of Rancho Murieta respectfully demand that all children’s play equipment be open to our children immediately. Our children’s and our own mental health is extremely important to us in these unprecedented times. Our children need physical activity and age appropriate social interaction to grow to be healthy, mentally stable, active citizens in their community.
We, as due paying members of this community and many of us front line healthcare workers are able to make our own, well researched decisions for our own families in matters of physical and mental health.

Children need sunshine and exercise to build immunity, not being locked indoors fighting depression being sedentary!!
Please open up the playgrounds for the children in our community. Not only would it great for the children to get out of the house & get some exercise, it’s great for parents to have a place to take their children during these trying times!
Yes, please open. Let us, armed with plenty of information, make our own decisions on how to play and interact safely.
It is time! Let us decide if we want to go to the parks, everything else is opening up. Please open all playgrounds and water park!
The children in this community need to socialize, play & be kids. We have two little ones that just suffered a loss that no child should have to endure. Let them go to the park and play. They can not heal locked inside. This community is amazing and it takes a village to raise kids. Allow our village to function. Help us help our children. When they are allowed to play, touch, socialize... they build immunities that will protect future generations.
Want to give my support to the parents of children living in Rancho Murieta to have the playgrounds parks and splash parks available for their use.

I think the local data of those infected with Covid-19 supports the openings of our parks. We are not a large city and haven’t been affected like cities with larger populations. Furthermore, studies have shown that being outside and being in the sun is good for your health. Open up the parks! Folsom has opened their parks, we should too.
