The Issaquah City Council is set to vote on a capital improvement plan on September 5th, and there is still no off leash dog park included in the Parks portion.

I hope you agree that the Issaquah Valley and Squak Mtn. area has way too many dog owners for our city not to have a place where our canine friends can run free and socialize.

If you're tired of fighting traffic to the Plateau or Bellevue to give your dog some play time then please join us in petitioning the city to modify their plan to meet our needs.

Deputy City Council President Mary Lou Pauly is on board with us, so let's show the city our level of interest in creating some park space for an off leash dog park.

Thanks for your support.

David and Victoria Remer

The scale of this response confirms the demand for local dog park facilities is undeniable. I am using this momentum to formalize a request for a follow-up meeting with the Parks Department staff.

As a dog owner myself, I observe *many* other dog owners living in our immediate cul de sac and the surrounding neighborhood (Montreux on Cougar Mt). Lakemont Park's little league baseball field was previously used by many as an unofficial off leash dog park; however, a "no dogs" sign appeared at some point, so it would be great to have an approved alternative!

This would be a great option within Issaquah. Especially with all of the new multi family construction, it will give apartment dogs a way to get exercise and play!

What a great way to enhance the community. I see a lot of people with dogs off leash in parks that aren't supposed to have them, because they don't have alternatives in the area. This would be a wonderful addition to the area.

An Issaquah resident of 20+ years, a dog owner for all of them and a house owner on Squak Mt. where there are no sidewalks. Please consider part of one of our valley's ample park spaces for us to spend special time with our beloved pets. They don't live long enough and time is precious.

Having a dogpark in Issaquah proper would be amazing. It's a hassle getting to the highlands dog park and the roads leading to that dog park are narrow and it's an unnecessary burden for the upper highlands neighborhood to host the only dog park in the area.

Would love to see a dog park in Issaquah. And one location that would be feasible would be next to the skate park by the tennies courts- lots of property there and easy access! Parking available at the Tibbets Valley Park already! Let's use our space efficiently
