There is a movement by a small but vocal group of Forest Gate residents who want to restrict this use of athletic field lighting limited to 9:00pm at the Oak Brook park district fields. As you know it is not even really dark at 9:00 pm during the summer, so this would effectively negate the use of lighting all together! We are asking you to support our request to keep the field lighting until 10:30 so the field can be used in the manner they were intended and allow our residents reasonable evening access to these fields. As we said, a handful of no-fun grumps are getting listened to, we would like to get the voice heard from those who support the extended use of our fields.
