The amount of funding offered to nurseries is being cut and will cause severe financial difficulty for many nurseries. The lack of monies will result in staff cuts, and impact on staff training. In the long term most nurseries cannot sustain this reduction in funding and may be forced out of the NEG funding. If your childs nursery is forced out, you WILL NOT receive the 15 hours free funding, and may have to reduce your childcare hours and working hours. We would like the chance to put forward alternative options to our council and government.
