The parents and children of North Haven need this Ulbrich Boys & Girls Club to come to town! There is a tremendous need in North Haven for affordable Before and After School Care for Elementary and Middle School ages. The Club is looking to open in September on the lower level of Hope Christian Church in town pending approval from the North Haven Planning and Zoning Commission.
Some neighbors have expressed concerns about the Ulbrich Boys & Girls Club coming to their neighborhood and oppose the location. Understandably, they are concerned with traffic flow and noise but the club wants to be a great neighbor and is very much willing to work with them. The Club will only serve North Haven students and all activities will be extremely organized as they are in their Wallingford Club. The children are always supervised, the club is well-managed and there will be plenty of staff on hand.
The next Planning & Zoning Meeting is July 1st at the Rec Center at 7 pm. If you can attend to show your support please do! If you can't attend please send me a note with your support and sign this petition so I can present it . Thank you!

Always a plus for the children to be active (and homework done) as well as parents wishing to keep their children safe and constructively busy before and after school. My son is long out of school but I struggled to find good, appropriate care for him while I was teaching. Sounds good. Fingers crossed for you!
I live down the street and I think it a great idea to have a fun place for kids to hang out.
I believe the North Haven Boys and Girls Club would be a great addition to our community. They have a proven track record in Wallingford and there is a need for these services in our town.
I would definitely use these services. We greatly need this in our town and I couldn’t think of a more perfect spot for our kids. I visited the church and think it is a great spot for our kids!
There is an overwhelming need for affordable childcare and this club could aid in the reduction of children unable to engage in programs due to financial strain within their families. I give the Boys & Girls Club all of my support.
The Boys & Girls Club is a great organization doing important work around the country. North Haven should welcome the Club with open arms...and hearts.
