On January 14, 2013, Northgate's School Board approved all of the cuts that Dr. Joseph Pasquerilla recommended. Joseph Pasquerilla
is the recently hired superintendent at Northgate. These cuts will impact at least 23 positions in the district. Many of these cuts will prove to be detrimental to the future of the district if upheld.
We need the teachers of Northgate. They're the ones helping these students reach their potential. Less teachers and bigger classrooms is not what they need. These students are the future. Save our teachers, save our schools! Thank you!

The reach of this petition has shifted the board's posture regarding the budget cuts. I have requested a formal meeting with Dr. Pasquerilla to present these concerns and discuss the impact on staff retention.

This is total nonsense. The board needs to find money somewhere else instead of hitting the classrooms!!
Ridiculous. Teachers do so much for these kids and they deserve better than this.
My kids love their teachers. Cutting 23 jobs is just crazy and will ruin the learning environment for everyone.
So upset about this news. Northgate used to be a great district but these cuts are going to push everyone away.
Bigger classes mean less time for each child. Seems like nobody in charge actually cares about the students.
