We, the undersigned, urge the Oregon City School District Board to halt the planned termination of valued school staff due to budget cuts. Our teachers, and support staff are the backbone of our schools, and their loss will directly harm the quality of education and student well-being.
We call on the district to:
Explore alternative cost-saving measures before cutting essential positions.
Seek emergency funding from local, state, or federal sources.
Engage the community in open discussions to find solutions that protect both staff and students.
Our schools are more than buildings — they are communities. Let’s work together to keep them strong.

Schools are gonna be a mess next year if they go through with this. Find the money somewhere else
Ridiculous that they cut staff but keep the fancy administrative bonuses. Fix your priorities.
we need to save our teachers for our own lives you get rid of teachers you get rid of students you remove our teachers that we actually wanna come to school to see the less likely you’re gonna have students
Stop firing the people who are actually helping us learn. My brother would be failing if it wasnt for the extra help he gets from his teachers.
Keep The 9th grade ELA teacher! She's great. Dont make the other teachers absorb the 9th grade- she makes pio prep and CE fun!
