I have received many questions from neighbors regarding the pine straw replacement, how much it would cost, where would it be replaced, etc.

To keep things simple, I am rewording this petition as follows:

This petition is a fishing expedition to see how many of the homeowners would be intrested in replacing the pine straw with an alternative.

If there is enough interest, research will be done to determine what the best alternative would be and its cost, etc.  The suggested alternative would then be submitted to the homeowners for approval.

So, by signing this petition, you are not committing to anything, merely stating that you have an interest in replacing the pine straw.
