Nous parents d’élèves, nous sommes choqués et démunis face à l’augmentation fulgurante du coût de la scolarité de nos enfants suite à la dévaluation de la Livre Egyptienne (ENVIRON 100%, soit le DOUBLE) et de la fluctuation terrifiante du taux officiel de l’Euro qui jusqu’à présent n’est pas stable.
Tous les parents de tous les sites du Lycée Français du Caire estiment que la Direction du Lycée en concertation avec les représentants personnels et les parents, sont dans l’obligation d’intervenir pour réévaluer et fixer les tarifs semestriels 2016-2017 et les prochaines années avenir ; et de revoir la politique tarifaire touchée par la décision de la Banque Centrale d’Egypte pour assurer la continuité de la scolarité de nos enfants au Lycée Français du Caire.

Seeing 250 names on this list proves that I am not the only parent lying awake at night worrying about these fees. This response gives me the energy to keep pushing the administration to finally address this financial instability.

Seeing the count climb this quickly proves that so many of you are feeling the same panic about these impossible bills. Please take a moment to send this link to other families who are worried about keeping their children in school because we need a surge in numbers before we take these signatures to the board.

Seeing these names stack up reminds me that my own children are not the only ones facing this impossible financial wall. We need to push harder to reach our first hundred signatures before we approach the administration with our demands.

Regarding the monetary situation and the huge devaluation of the Egyptian pound, we would appreciate and beg the administration of the school to help us, because it will be very difficult for us to pay for my 2 kids double the amount that we used to pay. So please help us and help our kids continue their education at the Lycee which they love and it's their lives :( . Thanks along
Since salaries did not increase by the event of the devaluation and inflation is at maximum esp since subsidies were removed on gas and petrol and utilities doubling the schools fees is a huge financial burden esp when having two kids at school.
mother of 4 french kids in lycee francais : terminal : ambrine , 3 eme : rayan . 4eme : anas and cm1: jasmine. we are trying to not ask for bourse but if it continues, we will have to ask for it ... it s becoming hopeless.. :(
My annual income does not cover such significant increase due to local currency floatation, and same I did with American University in Cairo, all parents did not agree to pay with new dollars exchange rate and the University provided a non-refundable emergency loan for all students
Iam signing the petition to support other families who cannot afford to pay within the new circumstances.
