Started by Hayah Parents 10 years ago

This online petition is for all parents to support the demands of many parents of students at the Hayah International Academy with regard to the tuition fees.

We are meeting the school officials this Wednesday, 31st of August at 9 AM at the school to discuss our demands regarding the unacceptable 20% increase of the tuition fees. Also the increase done on the US$ amount which is officially expected to increase dramatically against the Egyptian Pound creating an even much higher and also unacceptable increase in the total tuition fees.

Another unacceptable issue is that they are almost the "only" school that doesn't give siblings discounts for unacceptable excuse "that the school return on investment did not reach a break even point yet" ignoring the fact they should act as an educational institute not a business project.

To sum up our demands:
1. Fixing the total annual tuition fees increase at 10% and solving the US$ issue.
2. Introducing a fair Siblings Discount

We need as many parents as possible at this important meeting as well as signing this petition as the school needs to understand the size of the problem they have to deal with.

Please forward this petition to all other parents you may know and urge them to sign it.

The sheer volume of parents joining this fight proves that Hayah leadership can no longer hide behind their corporate greed. They treat our children like profit margins but this momentum shows them exactly who holds the real power.

As much as we value and appreciate Hayah, The school fees trajectory since we started has gone pretty high to unreasonable levels. I do hope we find ways to address this issue, especially that there is no sibling discount policy like other schools.

The message to the management that we need to be fair with the school and fair to ourselves as well so I totally support to review the annual increase percentage and siblings policy ( it's not fair/logic to deal with one same way like two or three). We respect management efforts and highly advise them to review their P&L items to minimize unnecessary expenses and minimize expats cost especially those who have minimum impact on our children. We really need to cooperate to keep the wheel running in these tough circumstances. Thx for understanding

The fees have almost trippled in just 5 or 6 years which is unacceptable! The excuse the school project did not break even yet is like paying 999 pounds for a pizza because the restaurant did not break even yet! Its not our problem and yes they must act as a responsible educational institute not a business project!

Kindly note that Hayah could be the only school that doesn't apply siblings discount which is something difficult to understand and accept
