We urge the Petersburg City Council to support the recommendation of the Planning Commission and vote AGAINST the pending proposal to rezone the Michael's Textile Building on Hinton Street from its current M1 light industrial designation to an R5 multiple dwelling district.
The feedback from neighbors remains focused on the loss of our local light industrial character. I am putting together a packet of these concerns for the upcoming council session. Post this link on Facebook and text three friends who live in the district to keep the pressure on.

The momentum behind this petition is undeniable and shows the City Council that our neighborhood will not be ignored. Post this link on your Facebook page today and email your council representative to demand they reject the Hinton Street rezoning.

Ridiculous idea. Our neighborhood is already full and the streets cant handle more density. Leave it alone.

Keep the industrial zoning in place. We dont need more apartments on Hinton St clogging up the traffic and making parking a headache for everyone else.
