Nichols Lanum, who was the victim of the aforementioned offender was the manager of Fast Fare convenience stores in Bennettsville, S.C. in October of 1985. The offender entered her workplace and robbed her at gunpoint. He then kidnapped her, repeatedly raped, beat and sodomized her as she begged and pleaded for her life. When Mr. Moore was distracted by the police as a search began, she was able to chew her way through her restraints and run, she was found by a coworker bloody and naked in the center of Main Street. Mr. Moore has a parole hearing in August 2010. Due to the violent nature and deadly intent of this crime, I implore you please not to set this monster free, but instead he be forced to serve out his sentence in full custody. My Mother was a beautiful, caring and compassionate Christian who even forgave this man for the hell he put her through, however, she lived in fear of and had horrid nightmares about prisoner Moore every single day of her life. She feared he would come back as he had promised to “finish her off” or harm her beloved family. She recently passed away. I am now her voice and her advocate. I will with every fiber of my being, do my best to make sure that there is no parole for this offender.
