The State Liquor Authority is considering an application for a new liquor license for another bar in our neighborhood -- in the basement of 141 West 10th Street, which formerly housed Suds Laundromat.
The applicant has misrepresented 141 West 10th as a commercial building in a business district. Our residential street, which is home to 440 apartments, is already oversaturated with bars and restaurants. The residents of West 10th Street do not need or want the noise and trash associated with another bar on our street.

The State Liquor Authority cannot ignore the flood of signatures proving that this neighborhood is united against them. We are forcing them to look at reality instead of the lies the applicant fed them about our quiet residential street.

The traffic alone makes this a bad idea. Think about the people who actually live here.
Enough is enough. It is already impossible to sleep on a weeknight with all the noise from the sidewalk. We do not need another bar.
NO MORE BARS!! We want to be able to walk down our own street without stepping over vomit and trash.
I have lived on this block for 20 years and it has changed for the worse. Stop turning every basement into a loud bar for tourists.
We need more laundromats not more booze. The trash situation is already a nightmare.
