Stop the expansion of Crazy Larry's Nightclub
Crazy Larry's, the famous nightclub on Lots Road, is seeking to open a new venue in the basement of its exisiting site. The capacity would increase by around 63% from 429 to 700 people. The venue is proposed to be open until 3:30 in the morning on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Your local Councillors, Mark Daley, Maighread Condon-Simmonds and James Cecil are opposed to this proposal on the following grounds: 1. The late opening hours for that volume of people would cause unacceptable levels of disturbance to the peace in the early hours of the morning and could impact negatively on the quality of life in the vicinity. 2. The public transport provision is highly insufficient at that time of night to cater for up to 700 guests trying to find their way home. 3. The personal safety of up to 700 guests trying to find transportation along the Kings Road in the early hours of the morning could be put at risk. The area is too confined and inadequately serviced by public transport for this volume of people in addition to the other clubs already in existance in the same block.
