Please join the residents of Eva Kennedy Road in sharing our voices to the City Council and Zoning Board of Suwanee. We are strongly against rezoning the old
church at 641 Eva Kennedy Road to allow 93 townhomes to be built. Please help us keep the integrity of our portion of Suwanee in tact. If possible ask your friends, neighbors, co workers and anyone you know to support our cause. Would you want a huge townhome complex put right in the middle of your quiet neighborhood? We don’t either! Please sign ASAP since we will be going in front of City Council on January 23 to plead our case.

Seeing this kind of movement is exhausting but it proves that our neighbors see the same threat to our streets that I do. This momentum is the only thing keeping me going as we prepare to face the council.

I do not support Townhomes on Eve Kennedy. Suwanee has become one of the most congested cities in Gwinnett County. The increase of accidents in the Eve Kennedy area is directly due to the horrendous increase of traffic. There is also a floodplain behind existing homes on Eve Kennedy.

Absolutely not in that area of Suwanee, we like the peaceful neighborhood as it is now. This will definitely add to traffic and make for congestion.

The traffic on Eva Kennedy is already extremely congested. I live in Old Suwanee and many mornings I can't even get onto Eva Kennedy from Brushy Creek. Many cities have learned the hard way that townhouses do not add to the tax base, they actually subtract from the tax base for each one built for the additional infrastructure, schools, etc. Absolutely NO to these townhouses. I am close to moving out of Suwanee because of all the townhouses that are already being built. Where is our City Council?

We do not need more homes making an already congested area worse. Eva Kennedy Road is a great road for cyclists (like myself) to cross through Suwanee and avoid the heavier traveled roads to stay safer. Not to mention the negative impact it would have on the integrity and aesthetics of the neighborhood. The roads (except PIB) that connect Eva Kennedy are residential, low speed limit that will not be respected when people that occupy those 93 homes are trying to get to work every morning. The increase in overall traffic volume as a result will make the area around the greenway and library much more dangerous for any pedestrian traffic (children!) enjoying activities and events taking place there. No, no, no 1,000 times please no.

We do not want townhouses on our road - all the houses currently here are single-family, mostly older homes and we want to keep it that way. Plus the increase in traffic would be much worse - it is already hard to get out of our driveway without any additional traffice.

I fully against this. All these roads in and around Eva Kennedy already speed through our neighborhood and cause me great worry for my growing kids that use bikes for fun. We already having issues with speeding cars.
