No to Z-114
We, the undersigned, ask the Cobb County Board of Commissioners to DENY Rezoning Application Z-114, which seeks to rezone 69 acres on Dallas Hwy at County Line Rd from R-30 to R-20/OSC.
Z-114 also proposes a reduction in lot sizes from 30,000 Sq. Ft to 15,000 Sq. Ft. The proposed rezoning is not consistent with R-30 zoning surrounding the subject property and the entire area of Dallas Hwy.
The proposed density and lot size will destroy the look and feel of the area around Midway Rd and Dallas Hwy and will set the precedence for more rezoning of this nature in the immediate area surrounding this development
Increased density (132+ homes) also will have a negative impact on property values and quality of life of in surrounding neighborhoods by increasing traffic congestion and overcrowding public schools.
