we got the news that parole was denied and he is staying behind bars. i am so relieved that justice held up for officer moraska and his family. thanks for being here with me through this nightmare.
We, the undersigned, strongly object to the release and parole of Edward Alsteens, Jr. #131318 of which a public hearing will be held on July 11, 2017 at 9:00 AM in the Handlon Michigan Training Center of Richard A. Handlon Correctinal Facility located at 1728 Bluewater Highway, Ionia Michigan. We, the undersigned, respectfully request that parole be denied.
Parole shouldn't be given to a man who commits Murder, especially one who kills one of our Law Enforcement Officers. This news also broke on the ANNIVERSARY of the fallen officer's death when the family was unveiling the portion of highway named in his honor. DO NOT LET THIS MAN OUT!

My thought is that anyone who intentionally commits cold blooded murder of a police officer or anyone should not be paroled ever. This man lured an innocent officer to his home to kill him. Then he took his police car on a joy-ride while the officer lay dying in the front yard of the person he thought he was going to help.
No parole.

What happens to life in prison WITHOUT parole? Kenny lost his life, his child lost his father, his wife list her husband, not to mention mother and father, brother sister's friends, why should he live the rest of his life free? Murders belong to rot in prison, especially cop killers!

None of us that knew him will never forget that day , it was the saddest day in Norway and surrounding areas , many families mourned the loss of Officer Moraska . His family was devastated, it's not something you ever get over. Edward Alsteen should not be released .

Officer Moraska doesn't get a chance to start living his life again, to enjoy his wife and family. His parents went to their graves never having the chance to enjoy their child. His brothers and sisters have had to live their lives without their brother due to the actions of this murderer. NO PAROLE, let him die in prison

This man has been in prison for 40+ years, he is institutionalized. Why risk letting him out so he can hurt another family when he realizes he can't function in society. Why should a man who planned and executed killing a police officer who had a family be given another chance at life. Kenneth Moraska doesnt get another chance at life.

This man is too dangerous and should never be released from prison. What he did was calculated and cold blooded.
