In December 2013 the NSW State Government introduced the start of the "Lockout Law's" for Kings Cross and the Sydney CBD.

In April 2014 Kings Cross was again smashed with the introduction of ID Scanners, leaving unaware tourist and visitors of all ages out in the cold and unable to enjoy a drink or entertainment with friends and family.

Then in March 2015 the authorities were back to slag late night licensed venues, including restaurants, with massive "Late Night Trading Fee's"

Both the first two elements have lead to the destruction of many businesses in the Kings Cross entertainment precinct. We have seen iconic venues close their doors since the introduction of these new laws and foot traffic down approximately 80%

Not only have they decimated the entire business community in Australia's once thriving 24/7 day a week entertainment mecca, it have also damaged our international reputation as a place for tourist to enjoy any time of the day, it had decimated employment in the area and has only served to push the issues outside of well controlled streets, namely Darlinghurst and Bayswater Rd's Kings Cross, NSW, Australia.

It's time we stood up to the authorities and now it's time for the people of Sydney and the world to fight back.

Sign this petition and help me fight the brainless, short mined authorities to get their "heads out of our businesses and hands out of our tills"!!!

It is time to once again to have the world renowned Kings Cross, Red Light District, re-established for all to the world to enjoy, safely, 24/7!!!

Updates

August 12, 2015

The business closures are continuing to pile up. I am currently reaching out to local owners to document the real impact these laws are having on their livelihoods.

August 12, 2015

The momentum is shifting. People are finally waking up to the damage these laws have caused.

Australia you are a disgrace when it comes to a night life. Hence why we save money and spend it in other economies around the world.

Lockouts are unfair and don't fix the problem they only serve to move the problem to outside the area
