I was staring at the clock during silent reading again and it really hit me how much better that time would be spent just finishing my math packet. People keep telling me they feel the same way in the hallways so I know I am not just grumbling over nothing.

I really did not think this many people actually hated Wednesday reading time as much as I do but here we are. It is honestly kind of surreal seeing all these notifications popping up on my phone while I am trying to finish my math packet (which is exactly what I would be doing instead of sitting in silence).

What else would they do without it? So the exact same thing but on their phones? It encourages reading
Dear day is not useful because most people just zone out with a book in front of them. Dear day mid week is an inconvenient time and most kids don't read anyway so i don't think its worth it to hurt everyone else because some kids need to read.
I still want to know who made it and if they are actually in a position to change it.
We always end up having the most work on DEAR day, so I think it should at least be moved.
