Advisor Base using Second Step is a waste of time, we are being taught like first grader, the videos don't work and a safe school climate could still be created with lessons that are smarter for middle schoolers. We need a new way of creating a safe school climate, second step is not the answer. Instead I propose that we as a student body should change the frequency or the program itself used for advisor base as I understand that it's a state mandated program. In the comments propose your new plan so the school can hear the students who make up this school and their ideas.

In my opinion, Advisor for the past 2 months have been the same exact thing over and over. Advisor also blocks up academic and most of the time I have more work on thursdays which wastes my time at home.
advisor is trying to teach us skills we learned in 2nd grade. if they really want to help us with social skills and preventing bullying and suicide the lessons need to be more mature. the lessons we learn are also irrelevant and the problems aren't present in our schools.
All we do in Advisor is watch a slideshow about friends and values, while we can be making friends and learning their values.
I agree with my peers and believe that second step is a very boring way to learn and I feel like my intellect is being insulted.
I go to cms and advisor is really stupid. Nobody pays attention so we should make it more interesting and less sitting around watching and listening. Or we could make it less frequent and maybe have one assembly a year.

Advisor Base is a waste of time. Do you see students faces when they hear we have advisor base on thursday, i mean come on its stupid. We're treated as if we're 7 year olds and well last time i checked I'm 13. I would much rather spend everyday of the week in academic actually getting work done
