The city informed me that the plans for the tower on Academy Road are officially cancelled. I am still trying to wrap my head around this outcome and it is entirely because of your support. Please keep an eye on the local office just to be sure this stays permanent.
This petition recognizes the need for technology and communication advancements, however this particular location will create lower property values, hinder our natural habitat visually day and night, and is very close to a DNR wildlife area.
I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum behind this because I never imagined so many people felt the same way about our neighborhood. This belongs entirely to you and your willingness to speak up for our local habitat. I am truly humbled by how quickly this has taken root.

Property values and the health and well being of livestock is crucial to lifting our economy. They need to find better answers that are good for everyone, not just the cell company.

We have no need for another tower in the country, it’s why we live in the country, to get away from the noise and polluted views of the city.

New technology is coming that will make these ugly towers unnecessary. Put this tower up the road at the county gravel pit.
