the council just voted to reject the campground project and keep the mountain quiet. i honestly cant believe we pulled this off but the permits were officially denied today. thank you to everyone who showed up for this and kept the pressure on.

This project will decease our property values. I have been a resident of Bear Trail for 25 years and know the real estate market being a real estate agent for 25 years. This project will only bring problems to our peaceful mountain top.
This is a mistake that cannot be reversed. Out of town traffic coming down the switchbacks will lead to numerous accidents. Timber Ridge Trail will become a speedway.
Opposed. This is a housing development not a business complex. This will open the floodgates for additional requests to open businesses...bed and breakfast? Traffic, privacy, fire safety...I chose to buy here to avoid such issues and enjoy the country. This is a cute idea but not for a housing development.
Don’t mind the B&B but definitely against the campground. Too many strangers too often for my peace of mind. Trying to raise a child safely in these times is hard enough without inviting trouble into our own backyard.
We bought in shawneeland because it is a private mountain community. we do not want a business using our private roads and amenities that we pay for!!! There is no way ot is for private use! We were not informed in a timely manner, and we do not believe that his intentions are true!
Not a good idea we have enough Accidents on Back Mountain! We don’t need anymore traffic out this way!
Against. This area is to be preserved RA, not for a commercial endeavor for one family to profit off the backs of others destroying their "right to peaceful enjoyment" of their own property.

My house and property are next to the site for this campround. It will destroy everything that drew me to by this property and drive all the natural wildlife away.
