The NHS automatically assume that our bodies will automatically convert T3 when taking T4 known as Levothyroxine. Many hypothyroid patients who are on T4 alone are finding it extremely difficult losing weight and never feel like they have any energy. I myself as well as many others have tried desperately for years to lose weight to no avail. This weight problem is very common with hypothyroidism. The NHS say there is a problem with obesity and I am sure due to the difficulties of hypothyroid weight gain, we are put amongst this category, yet we are accused of being couch potatoes or eating too much. This is certainly not the case.... is it!!!!!!  People who are on T4 as well as T3 lose weight sufficiently and are healthy. Please sign this petition to help make thyroid patients healthier!!
