We call on Pinellas Park city council to find a new site for dog park
scheduled to be built in Helen Howarth Park. Dog Parks planned location will
create much risk to horseback riders and dogs alike.
Alternative options for the dog park could be further in Helen Howarth away from equestrian trails and busy roads or at one of the other near by city parks.
i think this could be potentially dangerous to horses and riders at the park. there are already alot of things (traffic, baseball, and playground) that make it difficult for some horse and riders to enjoy the park. i believe the dogs barking at thr fence could lead to alot of horses spooking and bolting and injuring their riders.

I took a bad fall because of 2 dogs barking... still trying to regain my confidence. I love dog parks but for the safety of all concerned put it in another location!!

The dog park is welcome in my opinion however the placement is what I have an issue with. If it could be put within the interior of the park and not next to the horse trail which is already next to a road would be a much safer option for us all, horses, dogs and owners alike.

safety first ! out of control dogs and horses are a bad combination. Keep the equestrian trails as safe as possible for the riders and their horses.
