safety first ! out of control dogs and horses are a bad combination. Keep the equestrian trails as safe as possible for the riders and their horses.

i think this could be potentially dangerous to horses and riders at the park. there are already alot of things (traffic, baseball, and playground) that make it difficult for some horse and riders to enjoy the park. i believe the dogs barking at thr fence could lead to alot of horses spooking and bolting and injuring their riders.

Personally, I think the idea of a dog park in a park with horses is a bad idea all the way around.

It appears the "equestrian" part of the park is getting smaller and smaller. The racket ball courts frightened the horses when you came around from behind them, then the ball games with the ball hitting the bats, and the crowd suddenly cheering, just as you happen to be riding by. Then the occasional kids on bikes riding on the trail cutting through the woods. I could go on and on, I no longer found riding there relaxing it was actually stressful. Now a Dog Park? Everyone likes to see our horses, but god forbid we take them out of the barn, they may poop on the sidewalk or get loose and upset the perfect image someone is trying to portray of Pinellas Park. The more things that are built in there the harder it will be to ride, and then where will the horses go? Another bad decision being made without a vote from the equestrian community, how about a special meeting where the horse owners can attend and express their concerns?????
