Hello Everyone,
With the growing support for this cause, I have decided to create a petition in order for the Hilo High school baseball team to hire a new Varsity head coach. This will not be easy, as Hilo High does not like to fire teachers who coach the high school team(s). But, I do feel there is enough support to get Tony Desa out. He has been a liar and deceptive person from the time I was a freshman in 2011. It is now 2016, and he still does his same unreasonable antics. He had bullied a former teammate of mines by telling him, "you're not fit to ever pitch again after that performance. Don't ever think about pitching again because you suck." Don't be fooled by this though, as that was only one of the several bullying incidents. He lied and deceived many others, not just myself. He is the reason why pitchers had arm problems and is the main reason why I tore my labrum with the amount of throwing he made us do. He also needs to be accountable for the actions of certain assistant coaches, as they wanted to fight parents and umpires too. This sets a bad example for the players and creates a bad reputation for Hilo High. He has been unfair and unjust in his actions. He is also the reason why several people have quit baseball during their time in high school. There are many victims and people that will testify against him, as the problems he has created have mounted up. So for the sake of the upcoming generations and the current generation, do the right thing and please sign the petition. High school baseball is a once in a life time opportunity and it should not be ruined by a non-qualified coach. The Hilo High baseball kids of the now and the future rest in your hands.

I have been reviewing the testimonies provided by those who experienced the environment within the baseball program firsthand. These accounts confirm that the pattern of behavior described in this petition is far more widespread than I initially realized. I am currently compiling these reports to present to the administration.

Not a fan of this coach. He cost a lot of games for Hilo over the past few years. For an example, he would sit his ace or take out pitchers at the wrong time. The biggest issue with the guy is that he always blames the team for losing. His newspaper comments after a team loss is always contradictory to what he tells the kids.
I'am staying anonymous because I have a teen that plays under this coach. He's talked crap to my son and other players. He likes to put down the kids as well. I'm scared that something might happen to my son if I did not stay anonymous.
Why are you writing this, didn't you like graduate in like 2014? Why didn't you speak up then? And it's not desas fault he hurt your arm this is all on you, you could have told him no or am I wrong?
Hello anonymous, First of all, if YOU were literate, you would realize that I did not call Jordan an atrocious baseball player, I stated "atrocious high school baseball career", meaning that he seemingly had a terrible time playing high school baseball . I do not need to see Jordan play to know his morale, because this petition simply speaks for its self. With all of these false accusations of my dad, it is inevitable that there are far more intentions behind this petition. With that being said, I have a right, to NOT keep quiet, especially if people on this website are writing very hurtful things. Just know, that EVERYONE can read this, you live in a really small town, and everyone knows everyone (including all of these anonymous writers). So thank you for leaving my initial comment, it is a great representation of the truth and it shows the love I have for my dad.

Wow! Sounds like you DARIAN TAGAWA AND JORDAN TAGAWA!! A bully!! I played for and against you! And i still remember you wanting to fight other players parents and causing issues whenwe where playing. I remember winning a game against you and you calling us lossers and going around saying we got lucky and it will never happen again cuz we sucked. And holding a vandeta to come back and beat us! So you are the bully not the hilo high coach! Cuz I played for tony and he has never said anything bad about any player! Or has ever made us feel bad about anything! He thought me that an education is more important than anything in life. No matter what you do. Because in life we all know people make mistakes like a DUI or fight or anything! It happens. But how you rebound from it is what matters! And coach tony has thought me to always keep our heads up high no matter what we go through in life! Coach tony you are the best coach i ever had! Because you keep it real! Just like coach KAHA wong did for us! So if you keepping it real makes you a bully in these people's eyes i would hate to see what they say about kaha! But MR. Tagawas you guys are the bully here making all this false accusations! How sad!
