With Purple Line construction already begun, it would make sense for Falkland Chase to relocate the North dog park now, rather than wait until the old dog park is torn down, leaving residents without this resource.
The dog community would like to meet with JBG representatives to discuss:
■ potential sites for the relocated dog park
■ safety and health features (water, shade, entry gate design, etc.)
■ size (currently, the north side has the most dogs and the smallest dog park -- which has health and safety implications)
■ construction schedule

This should be a priority given the number of dog owners at the north parcel
The North dog park has the highest traffic and is a necessity for the FC residents. There cannot be a period of time where there is no park, so this needs to be done sooner rather than later.

A large number of FC tenants choose to make FC their home for it's pet-friendly lifestyle. With several options for pet friendly housing in downtown Silver Spring, Falkland Chase's most attractive amenities are the separate dog parks on each side of the property. As tenants, we pay the $350 amenity fee and $35/month pet rent with the understanding that, at the very least, FC will continue to provide the pet friendly amenities that it is known for.
