This is the intersection which children cross from the park and wading pool to our variety store for a popsicle or candy.
This is also one of the many intersections in our Corso Italia residential area which suffers from traffic that does not adhere to the stop signs. Safety and common sense must prevail. We have gambled with pedestrian safety long enough. (To experience a raised intersection, google map, or drive to Glenholme Avenue, just south of Rogers Road (at Holland Park Avenue) or go a little further north to Winnett Avenue at Arlington Avenue and also at Durham Avenue). Please sign if you and your family want to safely cross at this intersection.

People treat via italia like a race track. I see cars blowing through those stop signs every single day while kids are walking home from the park. Someone is going to get seriously hurt eventually.
