A 20 km/hr speed limit would not be unreasonable, given the high volume of mid-block crossings to Victoria Memorial Park

I agree completely with this petition and will add that particularly on Niagara Street (between Bathurst and Portland), I have noticed that cars are disregarding the one way street signs as well. I personally have almost been hit by one of these cars ignoring one way designation of this street (I was only expecting cars to be driving eastbound, so only looked to cross in the appropriate direction and almost ran in front of a car driving quickly going the wrong direction on the one way street (westbound)).

The infrastructure has not kept pace with the growth in residential units in the neighbourhood.

We definitely need to reduce speeding and traffic volume in this area, it is starting to become a concern.

I agree with the other comments but will also add that I've lobbied the city for a decrease in idling and noise pollution on Front, Portland and Niagara (as recent as this morning) and have seen dramatic results. We should be free to enjoy cleaner air and quiet living as well as personal safety.

Our neighbourhood has changed quickly and we need to update our safety measures to fit the current traffic volume. There is going to be a serious accident on Portland Street if nothing is done. Let's be proactive.
