I honestly cannot believe how fast this is growing and how many people truly care about saving our Demesne from that road plan because it feels like the whole town is finally waking up to what is happening. It is just such a relief to see that momentum shifting in our favor since I was worried nobody else would see the danger here.

This public amenity of great heritage should be preserved and conserved not desicrated by a road.
Will the county council ever cop on. What about the beautful trees that if on an ordinary site, u wud get planning permisson so they need to look somewhere else.... How about starting with bypassing Adare!
An utter disgrace that this has even been proposed. The demesne has been part of life in the community for generations and we will all do everything we can to ensure it remains so for many more to come. where are people expected to play sport, walk, run, relax according to the Council if they destroy this beautiful space. I'm outraged.
It's not the councils to build a road on anyway, it belongs to the people of Newcastle West and can't be changed without our consent.
Beautiful, peaceful haven the people of the town to enjoy - totally against a road through it in any way shape or form. Some chap plnned this without ever having set foot in the place, no dubt. Back to the drawing board!

The Demesne is a place where everyone gets to enjoy the outside. I have many happy memories playing there as a child and when I return to Newcastle, I always try to visit. It will be an absolute travesty if this piece of tranquility is allowed to be destroyed by people/planners who only care about one thing....money.
