In order to maintain consistency in our bylaws and to protect the rural character and aesthetic qualities of the Town of Northborough, the property values of the community and safety of the citizens, I support a 1,000 foot setback from both a school and a residence.
Below is the current bylaw which we are proposing to have amended.
7-10-040 Wireless communications facilities.
Section D
(4)
A locus plan at a scale of 1”=100’ which shall show all property lines, the exact location of the proposed structure(s), streets, landscape features, residential dwellings, and all buildings within five hundred (500) feet of the WCF. Such plan shall also include an engineer’s certification stating that all property lines of the lot on which the WCF is proposed to be located are not within 1000’ of any school property line.

Too close for comfort. Needs more buffer space.
1000 feet is just common sense. Nobody wants a massive eyesore towering over their backyard and kids school. Keep it away from our homes.

RIDICULOUS that this is even a debate. protect our property values and keep our town looking like a town not a industrial park.
