Please help me stop Faulk & Foster from constructing a 160 ft. cell phone tower located on Bame Road, in Colfax, NC.
On November 23rd, I noticed a sign with a large "Z" located two doors down from my home. Not knowing what it was about, I
approached the sign only to see there was a zoning meeting on December 8th
in High Point, NC. The nature of the meeting was not disclosed.
My wife called the number on the sign and was informed this meeting was about
constructing a cell phone tower right in the middle of a residential
neighborhood.
After speaking with several neighbors, it appears nobody was informed of previous meetings even though the city of High Point claims they were.
Colfax is a small town located between Greensboro and High Point, NC, and is one of the most sought after areas for real estate due to its convenient location and top performing schools.
Placing a cell phone tower in the middle of a neighborhood is not only an eye sore, but potentially dangerous and life threatening due to excessive RF rays. Not to mention property values will quickly diminish.
The proposed location is home to many elderly residents and small children. The rays coming off of a tower of such size have been linked to various cancers including leukemia in both adults and children.
Once again, please help us stop the construction of a 160 ft. cell phone tower in our town.
The health and safety of our residents should come before profit!!

I bought my house because of the beautiful view of the woods. There are numerous and various critters and birds that live there. The neighborhood Saddlebrook is a community of older citizens. I don't want something in my back yard that can potentially damage the help of people and animals. I also don't want my property value to decrease because of a tower. Find somewhere less populated to put your cell phone tower. In the middle of some farm land. Not in a residential neighborhood.
I babysit some of the kids that live in these neighborhoods and I don't think it's right for those towers to be right next to the kids
I live across the street from the proposed location. It will decrease my property value and have potential health risks. I have invested a lot pf money in my property and it would be devastating to lose that investment.
Can the city of High Point provide minutes for the zoning meeting(s) that they claimed took place? Are there other sites available for a tower that would not involve rezoning and affecting property owners?
The safety and well being of the residents should be the concern of all parties involved. The building of this tower could bring about long term effects that could cause potential damage and loss to the quality of life of anyone in the vicinity of such tower. Please reconsider the placement of this tower.

No cell tower in our quiet and pretty neighborhood. A huge cell tower would disrupt the peaceful country setting we all love, and the reason we purchased in this neighborhood. It was to get away from all the utilities and cell towers all around the area. We have underground electricity, because poles are unsightly. A cell tower is much, much worse! Please do not construct a cell tower in our neighborhood.
