During the 2018 election campaign I secured $1.3 million toward a Nature Play Adventure Playground at Wilfred Taylor Reserve. Now we need to let Onkaparinga Council know how much we want this project to be delivered.

Councillor Jon Deakin is shortly moving a motion to put this project in doubt!

The Motion states:

That Council suspend all progress on the Wilfred Taylor Adventure Playground Project.
Until such time as:
 The Reserve’s master plan is adopted;
 The Reserve's stakeholders needs are addressed;
 The Council confirms this is the most appropriate location; and
 The Community demonstrated demand and support for the project.

Please sign the petition to show Council how your feel!

I will also be lobbying the South Australian Government through the Parliament to ensure our voices in support of a Nature Play Adventure Playground at Wilfred Taylor Reserve are heard.

The current volume of support provides the leverage needed for my upcoming meeting with council staff. I am moving to formally present these signatures to the chamber to counter the motion currently on the table.

This is a great location for such a wonderful playground for kids of all ages . Get them outside exploring & having fun. Kids spend way too much time inside on their devices we need to offer them places like this. We need this down south. I am a resident of Morphett vale for 43 years family with 3 children that would use this every weekend.

Totally want this passed, i have 2 young boys who love to play in/on nature. This location is walking distance and doesn't mean a day long drive

As long as the new state government is still honouring this pledge of funds, let’s get on and do it Onkaparinga. We don’t want a repeat of the Aldinga Dog Park fiasco where a promise of state money was almost lost due to certain councillors personal agendas and grandstanding. Let’s get it going and spend the money - it’s a no brainer! Grass roots government where we need it.

Time for onkaparinga council to think of the community needs now. Extensive consultation has already been done. Use the state funding while it’s available.

This is a great space in the south but does need improvements to benefit more of the community.
