Forestry has consistently responded to the high expectations set by the community that public forests be managed well and to provide multiple benefits. This has driven our industry to become a leader, both nationally and internationally, in innovative practices and science-based management. Your Petitioners therefore ask the House to • Continue to support forestry in public native forests • Challenge forestry to continue innovating and using science to manage for ever greater benefit to the State across the range of economic, social and environmental services that are provided by our public forests

Science based management is the only way forward. Stop the politics and listen to the experts actually working the land.
Total respect to the hard working men and women in the bush. Without them this state would be broke.
THEY DO A GOOD JOB. LEAVE IT BE.
Tasmania needs these jobs. Stop trying to close down the industry that keeps our local towns alive.
finally some common sense. we can have responsible logging and keep the economy moving. leave the foresters alone
