To the Honourable Speaker and members of The House of Assembly

The petition of the undersigned citizens of Tasmania draws to the attention of the House the potential destruction of recreational fishing in the Tamar estuary and along the Northern Coastline due to trawlers netting large quantities of Australian salmon. We seek an exclusion zone of 3km from shore on commercial operators between Port Sorell and Bridport to be consistent with similar bans that are imposed to the area of North Point to Port Sorell.
