“The revised Murray- Darling Basin Plan still stands to take 2750 gigalitres away from farmers and back into the river system for environmental flows each year. The revised plan has not been changed from the original proposal, despite having over 12 000 submissions from concerned businesses, organisations and individuals across NSW and Victoria. The signatories below call on the Federal Government to re-consider the amount of water taken from farmers under the Basin Plan and the potential detriment this will cause on one of Australia’s most efficient areas of food production.”
