This petition demands that they allow at least 45 cubic feet per second to come down the last mile of the Provo River year-round and to leave this section of the river as it is now. This is enough water to satisfy the thousands of fishermen, the thousands of boaters, and the farmers who use the water for irrigation, and the landowners along the river who have the right to keep a portion of the river flowing. The Federal Government plans to spend 20-30 million dollars to divert the last mile of the Provo River to save the June Sucker fish. The Provo River Delta Project plans to divert all the water which will destroy this section of the river.
