We are concerned by the amount of empty and derelict buildings in the centre of the village, and that the village has generally become tired looking.
We would ask people to sign the petition urging Highland Council to take any appropriate action against the owners of the derelict properties and generally improve the visual appearance of the village

I was walking past the old storefronts earlier and honestly they look worse than I remembered which just makes me more determined to get the council to finally pay attention. It feels like we are yelling into a void sometimes but then I see the notes you all leave and it keeps me going through the endless piles of paperwork I am trying to sort through for the planning office.

sick of lookin at broken windows and rotting wood. sort it out
MUIR OF ORD used to be lovely. now it just looks run down and depressing everytime i walk past them old buildings
its been a mess for years. about time someone did something about these eyesores cause it puts people off coming here
The council need to step up. Those buildings are a disgrace and unsafe for kids walking to school.
lived here my whole life and never seen it look this bad honestly just makes me sad to think what the village could be if they just cleared the rubbish away

Its coming up a year now that I had to close my bussiness after 25 years, I approached the council and also my landlord but to no positive action! So hence another high street bussiness nd empty premmises, I am saddened to see what was once a village that was a prosperous village which now looks so empty and sad.
