Please help us residence at Muirtack to fight the quarry again after being refused by the council the first time and then refused by the government. Chap have proposed a new access road coming in from the A952 Toll of Birness to Mintlaw road which it’s near the large lay-by. This means an increase of traffic at the Toll of Birness not forgetting how close this quarry would be to a number of properties. We would all appreciate it if you could spare 5 min to sign this petition for us to fight again. Thanks you very much, Muirtack residence

I spent all morning staring at the map of the new access road and it really is just as dangerous as we thought because turning onto the A952 is already a nightmare without dozens of quarry trucks blocking the view. The feedback from everyone living right next to the proposed site has been so draining but so important to read since it reminds me why I started this whole thing in the first place despite how tired I am.

I honestly never thought this many people would get behind our little corner of the world but here we are and the momentum feels completely wild. It is honestly kind of surreal seeing so many names pop up because it makes me think we might actually have a shot at keeping those trucks away from the Toll of Birness for good.

If this quarry is allowed it would severely damage the quality of life for the Muirtack and Ardallie population due to additional traffic, noise and polution. I don't see how any professional planner can endorse this.

I oppose the development of Muirtack Quarry because there are already a number of quarries in the region. Given environmental concerns, the focus should be on developing and using alternative materials. I am also concerned about the negative impact of the location of the quarry - e.g safety concerns of increased HGV traffic on local roads (including Toll of Birness) and the negative impact on nearby residents.

I can only imagine the noise as at present I have a house being built beside me and it has spoiled my peace and quiet I moved to the country fir peace and privacy well it’s all gone and this will be even worse if this gets the go ahead

I am sure they have had little thought of as to the narrow infrastructure , and should consider a different access point to this site. It’s totally unacceptable to set out this without dialogue and looking at alternatives here where families live on the door step.

Too many children near this site to be safe to build without impeding on people’s lives with constricting effect. Toll of birness road is already choked with traffic. Adding another road here would have a drastic effect

It would be a travesty on so many levels to allow a quarry in this area. Hopefully creating a new road right next to an accident black spot will not make a difference in an application that has already been refused.

The road is busy enough and this is far too close to people’s houses.

The increase in traffic will be horrendous walking our roads will become very dangerous.
