Mountain Brook is in the process of revising existing ordinances through the Gould Evans study and public debate. A link to the proposed Master Plan is provided to the right and below. A link to images of proposed changes to the villages is provided at right. All signatures on this petition represent residents of Mountain Brook and/or neighbors immediately adjacent to our villages and indicate support of the following zoning ordinance restrictions in the historic three villages of Mountain Brook; i.e Crestline Village, Mountain Brook Village, and English Village: 1. Residential on the periphery of the villages (now zoned Residential "D") would be restricted to the existing maximum 45\' height. 2. Property currently zoned "Local Business" would be restricted to the existing two floors, 32\' maximum height, allowing 40\' height on corners. Professional offices would be allowed on second floor. 3. Property currently zoned "Local Business" would not allow residential on the second floor under any conditions. 4. Current open-ended \'mixed-use\' designation would be eliminated.
