PLEASE HELP SUPPORT A NEW MT. LEBANON DOG PARK:

We would like you to join us by signing this petition in support of Commissioner Kelly Fraasch's proposal to add a Mt. Lebanon community dog park along Cedar Blvd, on the southern edge of the Mt. Lebanon Municipal Public Works area.

A large sum of funding is set aside from the last Recreation Bond issue fordevelopment of the Robb Hollow recreational area. We think that itis important to see a portion of this funding be used to create a community dog park on the property. Here are just two of the reasons:

#1Our community quality of living will be enhanced by creating a designated recreation space for resident dog owners to take their friendly dogs to play outdoors. Currently, Mt. Lebanon does not have any space available for licensed dogs to be enclosed and run off-leash while supervised by their owners.

#2A Community Dog Park along Cedar Blvd. would buffer and visually soften the industrial look of the Public Works area from the road.We believe a Dog Park with green space in this location will give a face-lift to this high traffic entrance to our community from Gilkeson Road.

Moving forward the Mt. Lebanon Commission will need to ensure that ourdog park can be maintained and run privately or with little impact to taxpayers.

The momentum is real. This community clearly wants a space for our dogs to run.

I don't even have a dog, but my daughter (and her dog) often visit and it would be nice to have a place to let him run off leash.

My two dogs need a place where they can run free. A dog park would serve many residents who leave Mt. Lebanon each day so their pets can enjoy play time.

Instead if the $15,000+ wasted on the deer fiasco we could have a safe place for our dogs to run and play. SO many good things could have been implemented....About 10% of the Lebo population has a dog. About 4.5% of the Lebo population signed a petition for killing deer....That small % of the population threw away $15k....Would that mean that the 10% of us with dogs will be allotted $30k?

Given that we can't take our dogs to mostly all of the Mt Lebanon parks, it would be great if we had a dog park option.

We need a small dog park and a large dog park. Why does all town monies go it fields. What about seniors and those if us without children in school.

It would be so nice to not have to drive to South Park or the South Side to let our dog off of her leash.

So many dogs; so little space to stretch their legs.

I am a Mt Lebanon resident. There are lots of dogs in our community and Mt Lebanon should provide a dog park.
