It has been said that parents have to come in and talk to Mrs. Mancini about changing the date. This petition is to get people talking. It is for parents and students to sign, and if the parents see how much the student body cares about getting the change to occur, hopefully enough parents will talk with Mrs. Mancini about the change.
It is understood that the November date is beneficial for the donors who give a substantial amount of money to the TDHS students each year. But the donors can still donate if Commencement was in June. The donors don't need to hand over the scholarship money in June as graduating students who move on from high school do not start post-secondary until September.

November is way to late. Most of us are already moved out and in school by then so it makes zero sense to come back just for one night. June is way better.

Seriously just move it. My kid was already gone when the ceremony happened and it was such a hassle.
