Let's get together as a community and move the New Freedom Farmers Market to the Freedom Green Community Park. This location is in the center of town with better visibility to potential shoppers on the Rail Trail, enjoying the park, patronizing local establishments or just driving through. With better visibility comes increased foot traffic, which leads to more sales, which attracts more and higher quality vendors which in turn makes our market and the town itself a destination. A thriving market will benefit surrounding businesses whether they have a stand or simply enjoy the increase in visitors to the area on Saturdays all season long. Residents also deserve a more accessible and better quality shopping experience. New Freedom is growing and the 2022 season is the perfect time to make the change to move the market to the heart of town!
Update (Feb 3rd): We have been in touch with the New Freedom Recreation Commission and are looking forward to attending the meeting on Thursday February 3rd at 7pm for a productive discussion.49 East. High St.

This would be an incredible location. Imagine all the business from the trail. I am in the borough and didn't even know there was a Farmers market
I think moving the market would be a wonderful asset to our town. Tourists from the Northern Central Railway frequently come to the Rail Trail Cafe for a meal, and ask what else there is to do in town. It would be so nice to have an attraction featuring our local farms and makers to point them to!
The woods were too difficult for senior citizens to attend as well as those with disabilities.
There is an energy in New Freedom right now that makes our town one of the happiest places to live in Southern York county. Freedom Park, the local shops and restaurants are vibrant with walk around town traffic from homes and apartment neighbors. The community park is the perfect location for the farmers market! I think this is a great idea. Our Parlor is located right next to Paesanos and the more exposure, the better. We used to have our mobile unit set up at the current location…. No revenue! Complete waist of time. Yes I have conversed with Carole and Danielle
I feel like this is a no brainer… the only reason this wouldn’t happen is if politics are involved.
I like this idea, and it will help revitalize that area.

This would be two minutes from my front door, and for a 71 year old woman that means a lot to be able to walk a short distance for fresh vegetables right in your on community.
